Big Bang!!!!

We'll  huston we have a problem ... the truck is broken and if the engine parts left on the road after a huge bang are anything to go by then it could be terminal.

Surfice to sy that all is not what it seems regarding extra passengers age of truck etc etc etc ... I think its fair to say the wheels may have fallen off as well.The driver Sean gets is 400km's away at the moment with the mechanic trying to fix it. Becky and Sam if you are reading this and haven't checked your email dont book anything just yet till I know what's going on.

Staying in a great spot though and have done a deal with the owner to paint a picture when I get back to London in exchange for a free holiday.

Trip was going ok till then, only 4 passengers still with the mystery 7 others putting off there join dates, as they have supposed to have paid already this seems a bit strange, I'm starting to think that we are the only one's booked.

Time will tell, hey all good fun ...

The place we are staying in at the moment is Atilla's Guest House which is really cool.

Been doing a bit of painting, drawing, drinking etc etc.

John the 'cook' has had enough after badly spraining his ankle in a volley ball game and is ready to go home ... If we still keep going at least there will be no more egg and chips! and he'll be able to get his 'Full English' breakfast ...:}

Hı all, ın turkey the weather ıs fıne the beer ıs cold and the people freındly ... love thıs place!

Trıp through Hungary, Romania and Bulgarıa all good. Hungary was lovelyş people frıendly and Budapest nıce, managed to get a small watercolour done there. Romanıa seemed very poor ın the north but more money down south a real case of the 'the haves and have nots' Had a nıght out ın Bukarest, home at 3am good nıght ... met a lovely gırl ...

The mıstery contınues re the mıssıng couple went to dınner came back and they were gone.

No replys to emaıls, nothıng...

The 'Cook' John contınues to amaze, not ın the way we would lıke I mıght add ... just keeps talkıng about gettıng home to have a 'proper full englısh breakfast' what can I say ... cant waıt to see how he handles ındıa ... Had a massıve go at hım when after a lvely bush camp ın Bulgarıa he decıdes, because someone had left rubbısh there he would do the same, you can ımagıne how that went down.

Got to Turkısh border and were told the we could go ı but the truck couldn't, were stuck ın no mans land between borders for 4 hours whıle they dıd the paper work to let us back ınto Bulgarıa.

Headed south entered Greece for 1 and a half hours and trıed another border and got straıght ın ... go fıgure.

Paul's Travel Updates

On our way, day 4, 86 to go! Stayed in a lovely campground in southern germany next to a river, picture postcard type town.

The group is small at this stage started with 6 passengers and two crew, a couple and the rest singles, the couple seem to have had a spat, the rest of us came back from a resturant in Köln and they had jumped ship, all there gear gone and not a word - very weird. We pick up a couple of girls in Hungary then 5 or 6 more in Turkey. Passengers are all good, driver is a good guy but the less said about his off sider \ cook the better ... watch this space. His idea off a nutritional meal is egg chips and beans!

Looking foward to getting through Europe and into Turkey and  a bit of sun shine. Will pöst a few pics when we get to Saltzburg in Austria.
